About the art

Every day this spring I've gone swimming outside my cabin. The freezing water gives me a rush like no coffee can and it has been the highlight of my days. Naturally I wanted to capture this ecstasy on the canvas  and the result is both my biggest and my favourite painting to date: Vårbad

The original painting is oil on canvas at a size of 2 by 1.4m. Vårbad is Swedish and translates to spring dip.

Me and my dog Frans live in the archipelago where I get most of my inspiration. Whenever the weather allows I'm outside plein air painting or sailing to gather more inspiration.
